Letter : to presidents Charles C. Rich and David Fulmer / by Brigham Young, 1847 Jan 25.

After the enforced removal of the Mormons from Nauvoo, council meetings at Winter Quarters during 1846 were devoted mainly to discussion of plans for a new settlement in the West. The present letter, directed to "the Saints at Mount Pissah and Garden Grove" gives detailed instructions for the organization of the great westward trek of the church.
